Privacy policy
Last updated: 4 November 2026
This policy explains what personal information Josh Nelson Coaching ("I", "me") collects through this website, why, and what your rights are. Josh Nelson Coaching is responsible for your information under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
What I collect
- Free guide sign-up: your first name and email address.
- Consultation request: your name, phone/WhatsApp number, email, main goal, preferred contact time, the plan you selected and any notes you add.
- Enquiry form: the details you choose to enter, such as your name, email, phone number and message.
- WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook: if you contact me on these apps, the messages and details you share there.
Please don't share detailed medical information through the website forms. If it's relevant to your coaching, we can discuss it on your consultation call.
How I use it
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange your free consultation.
- To send you the free 7-day guide and occasional, relevant coaching tips, which you can opt out of at any time.
- If you become a client, to deliver and manage your coaching.
The legal basis is your consent when you submit a form, and taking steps at your request before entering into a coaching agreement. I never sell your information or share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Who processes it
Form submissions are stored securely with Netlify, the company that hosts this website, which may process data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards. Conversations on WhatsApp, Instagram or Facebook are also handled under those platforms' own privacy policies.
How long I keep it
Enquiries and sign-ups from people who don't become clients are kept for up to 12 months and then deleted. Client records are kept for as long as you're coached and for a reasonable period afterwards, or as long as the law requires.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information I hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, withdraw your consent, or object to how it's used. To do this, message me on WhatsApp or use the enquiry form. If you're unhappy with how your information has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
